We loved our stay at the camping in Marghera! the location was great, just a short bus ride away from Venice. the shuttle service was convenient, but we opted for the city bus which was cheaper. the camping had a swimming pool that we could use, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We also appreciated the grill rental option for cooking our own meals. the on-site market was a bonus where we could buy food and other little necessities.
Felt really good, no complaints.

Picked this place becuase it was cheap, had a pool and looked ok. But the pool was shut at the start of Autum and the site is miles from the station, bus and shops. The rooms were not maintained or clean. We had to move rooms once as the toilets blocked up and there was sewage smell. And our new room had two showers, but both did not work properly and our basin blocked up, but even after several requests, no one came to fix it.

View from restaurant excellent. Great running/cycling track from the site itself. Facilities good. Restaurant prices average. Shop on site sells fantastic bread and a few cakes... But, get there early as everyone else has the same idea of fresh rolls for breakfast! 1/2 hr to St Tropez. 1.5 hrs to Monaco.
Camping Jolly a little further out than we had been led to believe. Appears to be on a headland and this road has to be travelled up and down before reaching anywhere.

We had a cabin that was overlooking the pool.
The staff was very unfriendly and rude and not helpful at all. 3 times I was waiting behind the long queue to put on the airconditioner as it needed a remote control to be put on (she kept on sending us to the room telling us that we werent pressing a certain button until it turned out that we needed a remote control which the staff keep themselves). Also had crawling insects in the beds. The bus stop is about half an hour away. The map and explanation how to reach the bus stop that the staff gave us is not accurate at all. Cabin next to us complained that they had no water when they went to have shower, however this was not the case for our cabin

Nice place if you want to have a reasonable priced stay near to Venice. Shuttlebus to Venice at 2,50 euro one way.
There was constantly a queue at the reception; all people were asking the same questions.... It would be much better if there were readerbords with the information about shuttle busses to venice and airport. (timetable, rates etc) It was a pity that the swimmingpool was very limited open (10 to 6)

The people at the reception were very nice and very helpful. Good knowledge of English. Swimming poll was very tidy and clean. The air condition in the bungalows works nice and fridge was working.
In the camping's restaurant waiters were not nice and not professional at all. Served food was "thrown" on the table. We were told to pay inside the restaurant while the guest at the table next to us could pay outside. Real problem was to split the bill into to two separate ones - we have to pay for all. With the same price of the meal in the centre of the town you can eat a lot better food.

Not expensive and not far from Venice; swimming pool
1. I received from "Booked.net" an outdated information concerning the camping's shuttle. Now it does not go to P-lle Roma as it was in the past. It goes to another place, which is necessary to get by train that is inconvenient. 2. Staff attitude seems me a bit formalistic, while in the past (2008) people were more kind and helpful.

Swiming pool is a great add.
The rooms were not ready when we arrived and we had two wait for 2 hours (but we had a venice tour booked). After an hour and a half and 15 times asking "are they ready", they gave me keys for different boungalos that were ready and prepared for different group arriving late. That pissed me off. Breakfast buffet was self service. And it wasn't bad, but there was a sheet on which there were written what you are allowed to take (one spoon of that and half spoon of this) and staff was watching at us. It was almost funny.

The location of the hotel is great for visiting Venice, with easy access to public transportation and a shuttle service available. the rooms are clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and en suite bathrooms. Guests can enjoy the facilities such as the swimming pool and restaurant, and the option for breakfast at a reasonable price.
The wifi connection is weak and only available at the reception area.

Very friendly staff. Quite place in small town - good to relax.
Camping house very fast loses its inner heat. Prices in camping cafe could be a little bit cheaper.
